It’s time to “Saddle Up” at the River of Time for the first spring “fun-raiser” set Friday, April 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center.
Dust off those western boots and spend the evening kicking up to the sounds of the Audrey Hicks Country Band. For those who have never two stepped or line danced, the World Pro Am Champion dance team of John Berry and Lisa Berry will be on hand to teach easy to learn steps sure to enhance the moves of even those with two left feet.
Fountain Hills is built on the site of the former P-Bar Ranch. The P-Bar and Box Bar ranches flourished during the time when ranching was a big industry in the Lower Verde River Valley area, according to a press release said.
The museum features stories and memorabilia from the days when cattle was king and cowboys could roam the desert for days.
Partygoers can view the ranching exhibits and explore the many stories of this part of Arizona told throughout the museum.
The $75 ticket includes a signature Saddle Up cocktail (or mocktail), light bites catered by Mountain View Kitchen, music, dance lessons and dancing into the night with the Audrey Hicks Band, along with special raffle items, games and prizes for the best boots, hats and country attire.
In addition to the included signature cocktail, a cash bar is available all evening.
There are a limited number of tickets and they’re selling fast, the press release continued.
The River of Time Museum is located at 12901 N. La Montana Drive.
