McKenzie Giancola, PT, DPT joined the Spooner PT team in September 2023.
Giancola was born and raised in the suburbs of Portland, Ore., where she grew up playing soccer, softball and basketball.
Giancola played collegiate softball at Corban University in Salem, Ore., and finished her undergraduate education at Portland State University before moving to Nashville, Tenn. in August 2020 where she obtained her DPT at Belmont University.
She spent some time in Bend, Ore., San Diego, Calif., Glendale, Ariz. and Charleston, S.C. during her clinical rotations and even had the opportunity to complete a rotation with the Chicago White Sox Organization during Spring Training where she was introduced to working with professional overhead athletes, a press release said.
Giancola was initially drawn to the PT profession because of its connection to sports and remaining associated with an athletic population. She loves being able to be such a large part of an individual’s rehab process and helping them to recover.
At Spooner Fountain Hills, Giancola’s areas of interest include sports rehabilitation and orthopedics. She is currently taking new patients.
Outside the clinic
Giancola and her sister recently moved to North Scottsdale from Nashville. Giancola loves staying active and being outside. She has recently gotten into tennis and pickleball on the weekends and her family has a wake surfing boat which she enjoys using on the lake.
Giancola’s ideal mornings start with hot yoga and typically nice long walks when it’s cool outside.
Spooner Fountain Hills is located at 16838 E Palisades Blvd., Suite B-121. For more information, call 480-837-2595 or visit spoonerpt.com.
