Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills arrested a Fountain Hills man on Sunday, Feb. 4, after receiving a complaint from his wife.

The man allegedly came home after drinking and got into an argument with the woman.

He reportedly threw bottles, breaking them and caused damage to a wheelchair.

He faces charges for domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal damage and resisting arrest.

◆ On Thursday, Feb. 1, deputies received a report of a Fountain Hills resident who rented a van from Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Saguaro Boulevard. The vehicle was rented Dec. 15 and was to be returned Dec. 19. The vehicle cannot be located. The value is set at $20,000.

◆ On Thursday, Feb. 1, a Fountain Hills woman reported identity theft with her credit card number being used to purchase approximately $6,000 in goods.

◆ On Friday, Feb. 2, a Phoenix woman was stopped for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard traveling in excess of 20 miles per hour over the speed limit.

◆ On Friday, Feb. 2, unknown persons attempted to pay for food at the McDonald’s restaurant drivethrough with a counterfeit $100 bill. They paid for the food with other currency and left when they were told the $100 was phony. The counterfeit bill was turned over to MCSO.

◆ On Friday, Feb. 2, a Scottsdale woman reported her purse was stolen from a shopping cart while in the Fry’s store in Fountain Hills. There was cash, documents and her phone in the purse.

◆ On Friday, Feb. 2, deputies received a report of two vehicles damaged while parked at the Circle K at Saguaro and Shea boulevards. Windows were broken in the vehicles, but the owners found nothing missing.

◆ On Friday, Feb. 2, a Fountain Hills woman reported her purse missing after she left the Four Sons convenience market at Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards. She believes it was taken while she was inside the store, but did not notice it missing until the drive home.

◆ On Saturday, Feb. 3, a Fountain Hills man reported he was threatened by an unknown man while at the dog park at Desert Vista Park.

◆ On Monday, Feb. 5, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone removed a wallet from her shopping cart while she was in line for checkout at the Safeway store in Fountain Hills. Her driver license and bank cards were in the wallet.

◆ On Monday, Feb. 5, deputies responded along with firefighters to a reported dumpster fire in the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive. A witness told deputies they believe the fire began with young girls playing with fireworks and then tossing some into the dumpster. The fire was confined to the dumpster.

◆ On Tuesday, Feb. 6, deputies received a report that someone had thrown a rock, causing damage to a window and table at the All American Grill on Avenue of the Fountains at Saguaro Boulevard.

◆ On Thursday, Feb. 1, a Fountain Hills woman reported possible fraud when she was asked to send cash for a potential job.

◆ On Friday, Feb. 2, a resident of the 15000 block of Sobrante reported his 2002 Honda Accord stolen from his residence.

◆ On Tuesday, Feb. 6, deputies investigated a traffic accident at Calaveras and Del Cambre avenues. The collision occurred when one driver pressed the gas instead of the brake and traveled into the intersection. There were no injuries.

◆ On Tuesday, Feb. 6, deputies received a report that someone had broken into a vehicle parked in a church parking lot in the 15000 block of Bainbridge Avenue. A tool box was stolen with approximately $1,375 in tools.

◆ On Monday, Feb. 5, a deputy on patrol came upon a vehicle parked in the area of the Kiwanis building and park on Kiwanis Drive. Two men in the vehicle were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

◆ On Wednesday, Feb. 7, two men, both age 18, were found in possession of a pellet gun on the Fountain Hills High School campus. Deputies were called following a lockdown and located the two men. The suspects said the gun was in a vehicle in the parking lot and showed deputies. The two were cited for criminal nuisance and endangerment.
