Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report from security personnel at the Fountain Hills Target store that a man tentatively identified as a Mesa resident was responsible for the theft of a drone valued at $500.

Deputies were told on Wednesday, March 23, that the man and two female accomplices took the drone from the store without paying.

The three are believed suspects in thefts from seven different Target stores taking merchandise valued at more than $6,000.

Sheriff’s detectives are following up with other law enforcement agencies involved in the case.

*On Sunday, March 20, a resident of the 15000 block of Shoot Out Plaza reported the theft of tool bags with tools and cash stolen from an unsecured vehicle. The total loss is estimated at $680.

*On Sunday, March 20, a resident reported his vehicle was damaged with a key while parked in the Walgreen’s parking lot in the 16000 block of Palisades Boulevard.

*On Monday, March 21, deputies investigated a single vehicle crash at McDowell Mountain Road and Forest Road in Rio Verde. The driver told deputies he believes he fell asleep driving home after a long double shift at work. He drove through the T-intersection and into a fence. He was cited for failure to stop.

*On Sunday, March 20, a Fountain Hills woman reported her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her. She said he choked her until she nearly lost consciousness. He also took her vehicle without permission and threatened her if she called police.

*On Monday, March 21, a man reported that someone unknown had struck the passenger side door of his vehicle with the door of another vehicle. He was parked in a parking lot in the 17000 block of Shea Boulevard. Damage is estimated at $500.

*On Saturday, March 12, deputies were called to a vehicle collision at Palisaded Boulevard and Verde River Drive. A vehicle making a left turn from Verde River Drive struck a second vehicle traveling west bound on Palisades.

*On Tuesday, March 22, a resident reported that an unknown male had thrown a glass bottle from a vehicle traveling in the area of 144th Street and Rio Verde Drive. The incident is under investigation.

*On Wednesday, March 23, deputies received a report that a Fountain Hills woman had caused damage to walls of an apartment in the 14000 block of Kings Way during an argument with her boyfriend. She was arrested for domestic violence criminal damage.

*On Monday, March 21, a resident reported that persons unknown had removed a heavy tool box from the back of his vehicle parked in the 16000 block of De Anza Drive. The property value is estimated at $2,000.

*On Wednesday, March 23, deputies attested a female subject being held by Safeway store personnel for shoplifting. She told deputies she went into the store to get something she could eat inside without paying. On the way out she passed some makeup items and slipped them into her purse. She was also book on an outstanding warrant for a previous shoplifting arrest.

*On Tuesday, March 22, a Fountain Hills woman reported that an unknown person had filed an income tax return using her information. She also said that someone attempted to make a purchase on her credit card.

*On Wednesday, March 23, deputies responded to the 15000 block of Mustang Drive for a reported vehicle accident. A man told deputies he had fallen asleep and struck a parked vehicle in the street.

*On Thursday, March 24, deputies responded to a reported assault in which a man allegedly punched his wife in the face and stomach while dragging her from the bedroom to the kitchen. Both people involved were taken to Scottsdale hospitals for treatment. The man had lacerations on his hands and arms that were not related to the incident.
