Assisted living residences host veterans events

The Fountain Hills Marine Corps League Detachment #1493 and the American Legion Post #58 are hosting a special Veterans Day program at the MorningStar assisted living center on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 9:15 a.m.

The program will honor those veterans living at MorningStar.

The American Legion Post #58 color guard will post colors, and Marine Corps League member Chris Brant will deliver the Veterans Day message.

On Friday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m. Fountain View Village will honor its veterans with a special event, "Love Songs of WWII" with Mike Chamberlin. Called the Singing TV Guy, Chamberlin is a former television newsman with KTVK-3 and KPHO-5 in Phoenix.
