Boy Scouts change meet location

Boy Scout Troop 343 has moved its weekly meetings to the American Legion Post #58, which is across from Phil’s Filling Station.

Troop 343 now hosts meetings every week on Monday nights (excluding holidays, August through May) from 7 to 8 p.m. in the American Legion Meeting Room (enter on north side of building). If interested in joining the Boy Scouts, show up to a weekly meeting to find out more information.

“Troop 343 welcomes all boys ages 11-18 who are willing to join in on our adventures,” said Scoutmaster Scott Woods.

Assistant Scoutmaster Austin Johnson, Jr. highlighted some of those upcoming adventures.

“This summer we are excited to send six boys to Camp Geremino, a week-long summer camp outside of Payson, and six boys to Philmont, a two-week high adventure backpacking trek in New Mexico.
