General Election ballots mailed
Posted
Early voter ballots for the November General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 6, should start arriving in the mail by the end of this week.
As with elections earlier this year, there will be an early voting center open in Fountain Hills from Wednesday, Oct. 31 through Friday, Nov. 2. The center will be at the Community Center and open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each of those days.
The voting center allows any registered voter to vote early if they do not receive an early mail ballot, vote in the case of a lost or spoiled ballot, or simply turn in the early ballot they received in the mail.
On Election Day the Community Center will be the polling site for the Fountain Hills, Four Peaks and Golden Eagle precincts. Those residents of the Palisades and Saguaro precincts will vote at the First Baptist Church on Saguaro Boulevard on Election Day.
Polls are open on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Voters can visit maricopa.vote to check on their registration, find their polling location (precinct) or request an early ballot (through Friday, Oct. 19).
The ballot features races for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by the retirement of Senator Jeff Flake; seats in the U.S. House of Representatives; Arizona Governor and other statewide offices including Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction and Arizona Corporation Commission.
There are also races for the Arizona State Legislature, both Senate and House seats, judicial retention and there are five ballot propositions.
Ballots for early voting will be placed in the mail on Wednesday, Oct. 10, and should be in the mail for return by Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Those not signed up for an early ballot and wish to receive one can go to the Maricopa County Recorder’s website, recorder.maricopa.gov/elections to sign up to receive a ballot in the mail.
