Posted
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Deputies reported a 23-year-old Colorado man was killed in a motorcycle accident at about 8:47 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 19, on northbound Saguaro Boulevard, about 300 feet south of Rand Drive.
Witnesses told investigators that they heard the sound of a motorcycle revving its engine and a loud crash. When police arrived, they found an extensively damaged silver 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle laying on its side about 200 feet north of the victim, Nathan Despain. He was wearing a helmet.
Bystanders were administering chest compressions until paramedics relieved them. Despain was transported to Scottsdale Osborne Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No other vehicles were involved in the collision, according to the deputies’ report.
