Mrs. Santa at museum Saturday
Posted
While Santa Claus builds and tests toys for all good little boys and girls, Mrs. Claus will visit them from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the River of Time Museum.
Admission is free to everyone this day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition to sharing stories and photo time, Mrs. Claus will serve hot cocoa and cookies.
She will pose for photos with a giant, six-foot-tall nutcracker that guards the new holiday exhibit of more than 100 Santas. They are a portion of the collection donated to the museum by former Mayor Sharon Morgan.
The museum’s gift shop will participate on that Saturday in “Small Business Saturday,” a national event designed to encourage communities to shop locally. Everything from javelina cookie cutters to tumbleweed jewelry will be discounted 25 percent. Purchases include free gift wrapping.
As a non-profit organization, the museum gift shop doesn’t charge sales tax so customers receive an extra bonus.
