Air pollution advisory for Saturday
Posted
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air pollution advisory for particulate, or dust, levels in the Valley for Saturday, July 13.
The level of dust in the air is expected to exceed federal standards that are unsafe for sensitive individuals.
Active children, adults and people with lung disease such as asthma should reduce prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
The pollution advisory also triggers the Maricopa County restrictions on the use of wood burning, commercial landscape blowers and off-road activity.
