A fast moving storm swept through Fountain Hills early Sunday evening, Aug. 12, with strong winds, rain and hail with along continuous rumble of thunder.

A 60-foot eucalyptus tree in the median in front of Town Hall was uprooted during the Sunday storm. Avenue of the Fountains was closed at La Montana Drive into Monday morning as crews worked to remove the fallen tree from the street.
