Eric David Lunde died tragically in a car accident Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 in Camp Verde, Arizona. He was 47 years old.

Eric was born Sept. 12, 1970 in St. Paul, Minn. the son of Dave and Sharon Lunde. He graduated from Woodbury High School with the class of 1989, and earned his bachelor's degree in Forestry from Northern Arizona University in 2000.

He was a true food and beverage connoisseur and worked with PlumpJack Restaurant Group in Squaw Valley, Calif. before moving to Fountain Hills in 2013 to spend quality time with his mother.

Eric fiercely loved his family and friends, and he was deeply adored in return. His love of travel and the outdoors found him hiking in Sedona, skiing in Lake Tahoe, taking annual trips to the Big Island of Hawaii, whiskey tasting and golfing St. Andrews in Scotland, and getting his first hole-in-one in Ireland.

He was an avid and loyal fan of the Minnesota Vikings, even naming his beloved rig, Knarr, after the Viking ships of old. His adventurous, kind and generous spirit touched many, many lives, and he will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by father, Dave Lunde; mother, Sharon (Berg) Lunde; sister, Lisa Lunde; grandparents, John and June Berg, Wallace and Gladys Lunde; and is survived by his uncle, Ron Lunde, several cousins and a host of great friends.

Eric Lunde Happy Hour will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at FireRock Country Club, 16000 E FireRock Country Club Drive, Fountain Hills, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the High Fives Foundation, www.highfivesfoundation.org.
