On Nov. 9, 2018 John Allen Anderson, loving husband, father of five and grandfather of 11, passed away at the age of 70.
John was born on Oct. 3, 1948, in Tooele, Utah, to William Anderson and Shirley (Fox) Baldwin. He spent most of his childhood in Beaver, Utah, and developed a lifelong passion for the outdoors and woodworking.
He graduated from Virgin Valley High School in Mesquite, Nev. in 1966. John served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1974, and completed a nine-month tour of duty in Vietnam, with much of it spent aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk.
He enjoyed a successful career as a computer engineer, spending nearly 40 years with NCR/Teradata.
John is preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Pamela, as well as his parents, William and Shirley. He is survived by sisters, Patricia (Douglas) and Rebecca (Michael) and daughters, Jennifer (Charles), Katie (Sheri), Nicole (Kenneth), Sunny (Christopher) and Rob. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held in summer 2019 in Beaver, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in John’s name to the American Lung Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
