Lloyd Heinemann

Lloyd “Papa” Heinemann passed away July 25, 2018, in Fountain Hills. He was born in Elmhurst, Ill. April 25, 1929. He graduated in 1947 from Hinsdale Township High School.

Lloyd was a helpful and hard-working man, whose jobs included being a forest ranger in Fullersburg, a mover, Dispensa’s Carnival employee, Hinsdale Water Department employee, EMT, and Lieutenant of the Hinsdale Fire Department.

He and his wife, Mona, retired from Hinsdale to Fountain Hills in 1986. There they enjoyed going to estate sales, traveling, and golfing with their many long-time friends. Lloyd played senior baseball and brought ping-pong to all at the local senior center.

Lloyd leaves behind his brother, Clyde; his four sons, Lloyd, Jr. (Nicki Coker), Michael (Janice), Patrick, Kevin (Carol Ann); 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mona Pauline Heinemann, nee Hayes; and his brother, Laubert.

He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family in Illinois, Arizona, and around the country. A memorial will be held in Illinois in the spring of 2019. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
