Busy week

Posted

It’s another busy week in Fountain Hills, beginning this afternoon, Sept. 26, with the return of the Fountain Hills High School homecoming parade on the avenue of the Fountains.

This event is set to kick off at 6 p.m. and circle the lower half of the avenue closest to Fountain Park. Spectators are encouraged to show up early and line the street to cheer on the Falcon athletic teams, clubs, organizations, marching band, court members and more.

Festivities continue this Friday, Sept. 28, with the Falcons welcoming American Leadership Academy for the homecoming game at 7 p.m. on the high school field. There will be an extended halftime show for the occasion, featuring a performance by the marching band, cheer and the presentation of homecoming royalty.

At the same time, the town’s Oktoberfest celebration will be hosted out of Fountain Park, set to run from 5 to 10 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29. That means locals have two days of brats, beer, music, strudel and more to look forward to, including a new laser light display both evenings.

Whether you’re looking to spend some quality time with the family or just get out and experience some fun with neighbors, this week should keep you plenty busy.
