Hall of Fame

The call has gone out once again for nominees to be considered for the Lower Verde Valley Hall of Fame. While the 2018 class won’t be decided until next year, residents have until Dec. 31 to throw hats into the ring.

As in previous years, a total of seven members will be inducted March 2018 ceremony, with five coming from Fountain Hills, one from Fort McDowell and one from the Verdes.

A full rundown of the nomination process can be found within our 1A coverage in this week’s edition. The key factor, though, is that nominees must have displayed a history of betterment within their communities, having a positive impact on areas such as community service, education, the local religious community, arts and culture, etc.

You’ve got a month to get in those nominations, and forms can either be picked up at The Fountain Hills Times’ office or by visiting the website, lowerverdevalleyhalloffame.com.

The local communities would not be what they are today were it not for the tremendous efforts of men and women putting their neighbors before themselves over the past three-plus decades. We encourage everyone to consider the Hall of Fame as a way to reach out and say “thank you” for everything they have done.
