I could not have been more proud of my community as we welcomed Donald Trump’s presidential campaign to Fountain Hills. So many patriotic people came from near and far to celebrate and participate in this historic event.
The extraordinary planning and preparation needed to ensure the safety of everyone is overwhelming. Kudos to our wonderful Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Captain Letourneau, Posse Commander Jeff Halmekangas and every hardworking member of MCSO, Rural Metro, FBI, Secret Service, Town Manager Grady Miller, and town staff and our beautiful Mayor Linda Kavanagh for a job well done.
Many said that attempting to host an event on such short notice could not be done, but Gary Lvov, Phyliss Kern and I believed we could and with everyone’s help we did!
We must never forget that our town has a rich history of hosting major events in years past without any problems, and this epic event helped to remind many of what our community can offer.
Fountain Hills’ hardworking small business owners and residents received much needed positive national and international exposure worth thousands of dollars.
When we believe in each other and pull together something magical happens, and when our Town shines everyone is a winner!
