Plencner: My thoughts on Skillicorn’s censure

Posted

Three Democratic council members have clearly adopted the tactics employed by the Biden administration –   censorship, shut down and destruction of their opponents.

I was out of the country on March 19 but what has been reported of the berating of Councilman Skillicorn is beneath the dignity of any elected body. Allen was elected to represent the best interests of we citizens and to govern accordingly, he is not the personal punching bag of the left-leaning members of the council trying to regain their power and majority. If anyone should have been shut down it was the woman who screamed at an earlier council meeting as liberal Mayor Dickey allowed that disgusting speech to go on and on. Apparently different laws apply for liberals in D.C. and now here in Fountain Hills’ government.

Information and speech, unless forbidden under law, should never be punitive. A final word to the fourth council vote to censure Skillicorn, Councilmember Brenda Kalivianakis; you really pulled the wool over our eyes when you ran and subsequently were elected to the council as a Republican. You have now aligned and are voting with the liberal members. Perhaps you should reregister as a Democrat. At least voters would then be fully aware of what they are getting.
