Observations

I want to respond to two different letters that were published in last week’s Times.

First, with regard to Linda Perich’s letter about the landscaping on Palisades Blvd., I drive Palisades quite often.

As I drive on Palisades going toward Shea, I am in awe of the views and our beautiful landscape. In addition, some medians are landscaped differently – some are more “manicured” while others are more natural, like the beautiful desert.

I have lived here for 27 years and am still in awe of our beautiful surroundings.

Secondly, I feel compelled to respond to Crystal Baxter, who said she was “horrified” by the “hateful” letters from the “so-called” religious leaders in this community.

She compares truthful comments made about homosexual marriage to the Nazi regime and other atrocities. This couldn’t be further from reality.

These letters were not hateful…It’s possible to hate the sin but love the sinner.

Not everyone has faith.

May the Lord direct your hearts unto God’s love and Christ’s perseverance. God’s love is amazing!
