Come on, don’t you wish Janet Napolitano was back in Arizona? She seemed like such a giant in state politics. But then it’s not hard to be a giant in a land of legislative midgets.
But the best reason I can think of for petitioning Janet to come home is that I think she would do less harm in Arizona than in Washington. She has become an embarrassment for President Obama and the nation. So look, we are used to being embarrassed by our politicians and can take the hit.
How many “Napolitano-isk” comments like “The system worked the way it was supposed to” can we take? There is a good reason that she always looks like a poor deer in the headlights, she is a poor dear in Washington’s headlights.
She is the small fish in the big pond without a clue of what she’s doing. But then she is in good company, the President seems that way too most of the time.
The kindest advice I have for Janet and the President is to “Keep the training wheels on”! This is no time to leave the TelePrompter!
When the White House phone rang at 3 a.m. on Christmas, Obama asked if they had read the “Underwear Bomber” his rights and to assure him Santa would bring him a lawyer.
Two weeks into the Haiti disaster and they still couldn’t seem to get enough food and medicine to the people. Although, giving 200,000 illegal Haitian Immigrants green cards, only hours after the disaster, was quick thinking.
Disaster relief is competing with Democratic politicians wanting their pictures taken with starving Haitians.
It’s so sad when they make Bush look like a genius. Mr. Obama can’t be fired, yet, but it’s time to send Janet back to the Cactus League.
