“The 12 Days of Christmas” is a new musical comedy by the author of “Ashes to Ashes,” “The Three Musketeers,” “The Big Radio Broadcast of 1941,” as well as the adaptation of “A Christmas Carol – The Musical.”
The production is an enchanting advent calendar of a musical with 12 playlets about the joys, stresses and downright terrors of the holiday season.
Segments cover the season with “Is that You Santa: -- (or is that the cat burglar?);” “The Department Store Satan (oh, what a simple typo can cause!)” and “How to Purchase Lingerie (it ain’t as easy as it looks!).” Another nine vignettes, funny, touching and delightful, round out the show.
“The 12 Days of Christmas” is produced by Noel Irick, who also choreographs. Peter J. Hill directs, and Jay Melberg is musical director.
Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. at 2 p.m. Sundays. The play is staged at the theater, 11445 N. Saguaro Blvd.
