2nd annual Fountain Hills Dementia Caregiver Summit a success

Event welcomed over 100 attendees

Offering a place for caregivers to unite, share resources and find care for their loved ones, the second annual Dementia Caregivers Summit in Fountain Hills welcomed 107 attendees; more than double the attendees from last year’s inaugural event.

Held throughout the morning on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Fountain Hills Community Center, the event welcomed local and Valleywide vendors, guest speakers and respite rooms for caregivers who wanted to attend but needed assistance with their clients and loved ones.

The free event surpassed the expectations of Fountain Hills Councilmember Peggy McMahon who was integral in making Fountain Hills the 10th Arizona community to receive the Dementia Friendly American designation – communities that are committed to being informed, safe and respectful of individuals living with the disease.
