30-mile pursuit begins in Fountain Hills

Officers attempting to stop a man for erratic driving on the Beeline Highway near Shea Boulevard were led on a 30-mile pursuit Monday evening.

DPS Highway Patrol officers followed the man on 87 to Loop 202 into Phoenix onto I-10 and then onto I-17 north. The man eventually stopped at I-17 and 19th Avenue.

The man, identified at Salvador Nunez-Enriquez was taken into custody at about 7 p.m. when he stopped the vehicle.

Officers attempting to stop a man for erratic driving on the Beeline Highway near Shea Boulevard were led on a 30-mile pursuit Monday evening.

DPS Highway Patrol officers followed the man on 87 to Loop 202 into Phoenix onto I-10 and then onto I-17 north. The man eventually stopped at I-17 and 19th Avenue.

The man, identified at Salvador Nunez-Enriquez was taken into custody at about 7 p.m. when he stopped the vehicle.

According to a DPS spokesman the pursuit did not reach high speeds.
