9/11 remembrance in Fountain Hills

Members of VFW Post 7507 and guests paused Wednesday morning to honor those lost 18 years ago on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001 with the terrorist attack in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania.

Past Post Commander Ron Smith called on those present to remember the day and never forget those lost noting that more died on that morning than did in the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Steve Messel lowered the flag to half-staff, while Carlos Alvarez played taps.
