I came to show my support for Sheriff Joe during the posse training at the school recently and I’d like to set the record straight. Supporters had no intentions of being there until late the night before.

We had no desire to disturb anyone, but we found out that the Arpaio haters, Randy Parraz and his circus act, would be there to put on their usual spectacle for the media to promote their recall.

I use “circus act” because that is exactly the type of behavior that I have seen them repeatedly disrupt our Maricopa County Board of Supervisors’ meetings with. They have been every bit as rude, insulting and loud as we have been accused of being by Ms. Dickey, Ms. Zinn and Ms. Wharton. We love our sheriff (which is why we elected him for a sixth time), so we weren’t going to let him deal with his rude haters alone...and they were by no means quiet little angels that day.

They shouted at the top of their lungs, and one of their members was like a human bullhorn with her screeching, ear piercing voice. Ms. Dickey is welcome to align herself with these people, but don’t try to fool the public about what kind of people they are.

And speaking of electing our sheriff for the sixth time...we were fully informed when we voted. We listened all summer long to the continuous complaints about the sex crimes (which, FYI, have been settled), abuse in the jail and money for lawsuits.

I never hear any concern about the uninvestigated crimes, abuse and lawsuits in other law enforcement agencies. It’s not because there aren’t any. They just don’t care. Just like they don’t really care about the kids in that school. They were just there to play up to the media. That’s the kind of people they are.
