A gift for one's self

You cannot get into heaven by lying your way in. And you can’t get out of hell telling the truth now, if it is too late. Nor can you be independent of your spirit, mind and body, and certainly not independent of your own impossibilities. All God’s criterion for you to decide.

Hope exists, subjectively it is “by one.” Objectively it is “outside of one,” or at least most believe that, by believing in a higher being God. Most acknowledge that hope makes one dependent. We are conditional sentient beings and, as such, dependency is all we’ve got. Atheists are wrong, they fail to accept their dependency in God. They do not transcend, cannot transcend, nor can they ascend. Their connectedness? Amounts to a lack thereof, i.e., no continuing connection upon death.

From Montaigne: “…Except for you O man, said that god each thing studies itself first, and according to its needs, has limits to its labors and desires.” So said an oracle thousands of years past.

From Goethe: “If thou wouldst into the infinite stride, explore the finite on every side.” Goethe and the oracle are correct in one way. They agree that infinity is inward of a person. However, modern thinking, which essentially states “void contains the finite” is somewhat different. The key is to perceive Goethe’s “everyside.” Sometimes a few of those sides are always missing, which makes for impossibilities. Possibilities to some extent can be known, only exact probabilities in simple games of chance, impossibilities never to be known.

Know this, infinity is both inside and outside of a person. So…faith is like a well thought out piece of mind software, thought out and placed by God, which works by allowing transcendence and gives peace of mind (see Hebrews 11:1 NKJV).
