I think Arizona has reason to be hopeful that with an all new administration -- governor, secretary of state, attorney general and many new legislators -- because there will be new ideas presented and we can capitalize on the changing times.
Technology is certainly the future, and one legislator (Rep. Bob Robson) has a bill that will fund our three state universities with a $2 billion capital investment for research and development.
This isn’t a new idea. In fact, Robson did this on a small scale more than 10 years ago and we’ve had time to measure the results, which are stellar.

Technology is certainly the future, and one legislator (Rep. Bob Robson) has a bill that will fund our three state universities with a $2 billion capital investment for research and development.
This isn’t a new idea. In fact, Robson did this on a small scale more than 10 years ago and we’ve had time to measure the results, which are stellar.
The return on investment yielded $7 for each $1 invested. This is not a give-away program. It is an investment in the future of Arizona that works.
All the new technology companies are hungry for a workforce that is ready to engage in the biotech and bioscience fields. Arizona can produce that workforce if we are very careful with our higher education dollars.
