A kind gesture by Starbucks in Fountain Hills

OPINION — There was a tragic motorcycle accident where a long-term Starbucks employee was killed. The afternoon the accident occurred, Starbucks closed down at 6 p.m. and stayed closed for two days after in respect for their deceased employee and for bereavement for their fellow employees.

I feel that was an admirable gesture, which showed empathy mattered more than money. I’m grateful to be living in this community which includes a caring business like Starbucks.
