It’s a new year and the Arizona State Legislature is beginning a new session.
The actions of the Legislature play a vital role in our daily lives, with legislation affecting our schools, health care, transportation, law enforcement, taxes, business regulations, etc.
Our responsibility as citizens and voters remains to be aware of and involved in the process, and provide guidance and direction to our state representatives and state senator.

On Tuesday, Jan. 20, Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party will welcome State Senator John Kavanagh, State Representative Michelle Ugenti, and State Representative Jay Lawrence to our monthly meeting.
They will share their perspectives on what to expect in the current legislative session and will be available to listen to your comments and answer your questions.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, Jan. 20, and will be held at the usual place, Fountain Hills Unified School District Learning Center (northeast corner of Palisades Blvd. and Golden Eagle Blvd.).
Since 2010, Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party (www.fhteaparty.org) has provided a convenient, local venue to learn about the issues facing us and meeting the people who are elected (or want to be elected) to represent us at various levels of government.
Admission is free, but donations to offset expenses are gratefully accepted. All interested parties are welcome to come, listen, learn, ask questions, and bring a friend. Come check it out! We hope to see you there!
