About my mom

When I told mayoral candidate Ginny Dickey, a.k.a. my Mom, that I wanted to write a letter expressing my support, she encouraged me to share my feelings about the town of Fountain Hills.

She knows how much I enjoyed growing up here, and she wants to make sure that future generations have the wonderful experience that I have had. Her request that I focus my comments on the town and not on herself perfectly reflects her approach to public service. She is not running for mayor because she enjoys the spotlight, nor is she interested in personal gain. She is doing it because she considers it a privilege to sacrifice for the benefit of others. I have witnessed her selfless service on the town council and school board, and I have been the beneficiary of it for 35 years.

My Mom not only puts her whole heart into her service, but also her whole mind and full strength. She has gained vast knowledge over her many years of experience, yet she never feels like she has learned enough. Those who know her cannot deny that no one else spends more time studying and becoming informed about the issues. She knows it is critical to understand all perspectives in order to find the right solution. She is an excellent candidate by any measure.

Please write in my Mom, Ginny Dickey, for mayor. (And connect the arrow on the ballot!)
