Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills reported deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Jan. 30, through Wednesday, Feb. 5.
Thursday, Jan. 30
*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills and Saguaro boulevards for a reported traffic collision. Deputies reported a driver left the roadway and struck a fire hydrant. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed, no damage was reported to the hydrant.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills reported deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Jan. 30, through Wednesday, Feb. 5.
Thursday, Jan. 30
*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills and Saguaro boulevards for a reported traffic collision. Deputies reported a driver left the roadway and struck a fire hydrant. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed, no damage was reported to the hydrant.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Graythorn Way reported that an unknown subject fraudulently accessed the victim’s investment accounts and removed approximately $34,000.
*A resident of the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. reported that a subject stayed the night at an acquaintance’s residence and stole cash from the victim’s purse before leaving the residence.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown driver struck a parked vehicle in a business parking lot and fled the area. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
Friday, Jan. 31
*A resident of the 15000 block of Mustang Drive reported that an unknown driver struck a parked vehicle which was legally parked on the street and fled the area. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains where a subject was trespassed from a commercial property.
Saturday, Feb. 1
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Rosetta Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies report that a driver backed out of a driveway and struck a legally parked vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies received a report from the 14000 block of Teakwood Lane for a reported shooting. According to deputies a subject negligently discharged a pistol outside of a residence. The shot accidentally struck the subject in the foot. The subject went to a medical facility for treatment, who then notified the Sheriff’s Office of the incident.
Sunday, Feb. 2
*Deputies issued a criminal speeding citation to a driver stopped on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. Deputies report the driver was traveling 75 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50.
Monday, Feb. 3
*Deputies received a report from the 9000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an intoxicated subject created a disturbance at a business. The subject fled before deputies arrived at the scene.
Tuesday, Feb. 4
*A resident of the 15000 block of Yack Drive reported that an unknown subject made a fraudulent account with a wireless provider in the victim’s name.
Wednesday, Feb. 5
*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane for a motorist reportedly traveling 55 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. A records check was conducted and it revealed that the driver’s license was suspended and the driver had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. The driver was issued a criminal citation. The vehicle was towed. The driver was taken into custody and turned over to Scottsdale Police for the warrant.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Thistle Drive reported that a subject defrauded the victim out of approximately $9,000 after posing as an advertising business.
*A resident of the 14000 block of Territory Trail reported that an unknown subject fraudulently withdrew money from the victim’s bank account.
*A resident of the 17000 block of Ledferd Lane reported that an unknown subject made telephonic threats to harm the complainant.
