4. The Lily Leadbetter Fair Pay Act makes it illegal to pay unequal wages for equal work.

5. Overturned the Bush Administration restrictions on stem cell research.

6. The Matthew Shephard Act expanded hate crime definitions.

7. Don’t Ask Don't Tell Repeal Act allows gay soldiers to serve openly in the military.

8. Student loan reform expands access to government loans and Pell grants.

9. Appointed Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, the first Latina.

10. Killed Somali pirates holding an American ship captive.

11. Reversed the Bush/Cheney torture policies.
