The Street Fund for the Town of Fountain Hills received a $2 million boost with the unanimous approval of a budget transfer from the General Fund at the Dec. 3 Town Council meeting.
Finance Director Paul Soldinger told the council that after the 2024 Fiscal Year, the town’s fund balances are in good shape and it was an appropriate time to shift some of the dollars around to support areas of greater need.
“The council approved $4 million in transfers from the General Fund into the Streets Fund and Facilities Reserve Fund in the FY2025 adopted budget,” Soldinger said in his written report to the council. “After accounting for these already-processed transfers, the General Fund still has about $13.4 million in fund balances.”
