Adele Richards DeMasi was born Wednesday, March 24, in the year 1937, the daughter of Norton and Dorothy Diehl of Douglaston, N.Y.
Joseph was her husband of 56 years. She was the mother of Joseph, James and Tina; and grandmother to Joseph, Jessica, Jillian and Jonathan. She was the sister of Nancy of Islip, N.Y. and Arthur of Gettysburg, Pa. and her faithful German shepherd; and many family members in California, Ohio, Virginia, New York, Arizona, Connecticut, New Jersey, Alabama and Maryland.
She was a former Fort McDowell Casino employee and Century 21 Fountain Hills Realtor.
She was a lover of horses, German shepherds, colorful flowers, country music and strawberry ice cream.
She was a gentle, patient, kind-hearted soul who never had a negative word to say about anyone.
She was the greatest mom, wife and friend in the entire universe.
A faithful servant of the Lord, she was a long- time member of North Valley Church of Christ in Cave Creek and Church of the Ascension in Fountain Hills.
Her favorite scripture was Romans 12:1-2. She peacefully went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014.
A celebration of life service is being held Saturday, Feb. 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Ascension, 12615 N. Fountain Hills Blvd.
