Adero questions

There are many questions to be addressed regarding the proposed development of 343 residences on the Adero Canyon property.

Trying to prioritize the importance of questions depends on the point of view of each home owner. The most important question in my opinion is easy access paved roads for emergency vehicles in case of fire, life rescue, police intervention with reported violence, etc.

Since there will be multi dwellings proposed in this new plan, dividing traffic flow with multiple paved road access is equally important for road maintenance and safety. Construction vehicles will be required to service the development for several years. The wear and tear of large trucks will damage the only road now available into Adero Canyon. The noise and debris is secondary.

Another question I will ask is related to our natural resources. The original MCO plan for developing Adero Canyon is 171 residences. The new revision has doubled the numbers and includes multi dwellings. That means more people in a compact area drawing water, gas, electric (A/C).

How this construction of 343 residences will benefit Fountain Hills is another question in my mind. We lost many families. We lost many retailers. We do not have a thriving corporate park. We do not have effective global marketing. We do not have a movie theater that was in the plans to draw the surrounding communities into Fountain Hills.

We moved to Fountain Hills from Scottsdale because we liked this small town with big potential. Why can’t we rely more on financial and business planners rather than Realtors to develop Fountain Hills into a thriving community?

I know there will be more questions to be addressed that I don’t even know how to ask. Please attend the public hearing Feb. 13 and lend your voice if you value your investment in Fountain Hills.
