Affordable housing in 2026

OPINION – Affordability continues to dominate the headlines and there are no signs that it’s becoming any less important next year.

Here in Fountain Hills and the rest of the Valley, housing prices are the main concern and our state lawmakers have responded by grasping onto a false narrative, blaming big investment groups for Arizona’s housing problems. As a result, they introduced legislation that would cap the number of single-family homes investors can buy. But the legislation misses the mark.
