The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued a high pollution advisory through today, Monday, Dec. 2.

The PM 10 health advisory will trigger the “no burn” restrictions for wood burning fireplaces and fire pits.

Also, avoid any activity that generates dust including use of “leaf blowers” for landscape clean-up.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued a high pollution advisory through today, Monday, Dec. 2.

The PM 10 health advisory will trigger the “no burn” restrictions for wood burning fireplaces and fire pits.

Also, avoid any activity that generates dust including use of “leaf blowers” for landscape clean-up.

Stagnant air has been prevalent over the past week causing particulates to accumulate in the air. Particulate levels are forecast to reach the unhealthy range for Friday. However, winds are forecast to pick up late Friday potentially stirring up dust.

People with respiratory problems should avoid exertion out of doors.
