Were you one of the two dozen motorcyclists that tore through this quiet neighborhood early in the morning? I was there, along with many alarmed neighbors who had no advance warning of the spectacle that was to happen. I spent time talking with Ms. Dickey who was, as a member of Council, invited to attend. She was the only council person to observe this media circus.

Steven Seagal also got an invitation. His role was to “provide hand-to-hand combat training” that, in 15 minutes, was going to impart his over 1 million hours of training to a handful of posse members. It was like a dreadful reality show.

So where are we now? Seagal is a Russian citizen and good friend of Putin. Parraz has been vindicated for raising awareness of ex-sheriff Arpaio’s racial profiling. Arpaio admitted to profiling Latinos in what ultimately led to his criminal contempt conviction, punctuated by his admission of guilt by accepting Trump’s pardon.
