As the immediate past Commander of VFW Post 7507 and the subject in the Aug. 26 article in The Fountain Hills Times – VFW Commander, Post are ‘All American’ -- I need to correct the first sentence of the last paragraph.

The word “relinquished” was used to describe the completion of my one-year term. I did not “relinquish” this position; rather I completed my term as Commander and thus, the Senior Vice Commander, Carl Krawczyk, was nominated and elected as the new incoming commander (2015/2016).

Thank you to all who have sent their good wishes and congratulations to me. I hope this clarifies and correctly reports my successful and rewarding Commandership and its natural completion of my term.
