Alzheimer’s support group to convene in Fountain Hills

Meets at Community Center

Posted

The Alzheimer’s Support Group is meeting at the Fountain Hills Community Center. The meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The meetings are free and open to the public.

Amanda Adams, with Home Instead Senior Care, is the group facilitator for the local support group and was trained by the Alzheimer’s Association.

Caregiver support groups provide a valuable resource for those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s. Support group facilitators create a safe, open environment where people share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems of Alzheimer’s.

This program is sponsored by the Town of Fountain Community Center.
