In last week’s Times’ letters section (“Ironic,”) Ginny Dickey wrote that she found my letter of the previous week to be “amusing.” In that letter, I reminded voters of the long litany of rude and offensive outbursts made by then-town councilman and current Town Council candidate Mike Archambault. Well, I’m glad somebody is amused.
Certainly the town manager who Archambault screamed at using the “F-word” and then poked in the chest in the lobby of town hall after a Town Council meeting was not amused.
Nor was the female town employee who Archambault screamed at amused. In fact, Archambault was so offensive to her that she ran out of town hall crying.

Neither was then-Chamber of Commerce Chairwoman Linda Kavanagh amused, when Archambault confronted and yelled at her about something that her State Representative husband had done at the capitol.
Nor was a local developer amused when Archambault, as a Planning and Zoning Commission member, made allegedly false and libelous comments about the developer’s building project. In fact, the developer is so un-amused that he is suing Archambault and town taxpayers must pay Archambault’s legal fees and any settlement costs.
Funny how some “progressive” Democrats like Ginny Dickey are the first to become irate and indignant when public figures act uncivilly, behave politically incorrect, create “hostile work environments” and bully women, except when the offender is somebody they support. Now that’s amusing!
