They are people whose physical characteristics include both male and female genitals. It seems probable that there are also behavioral characteristics that include gender confusion.
“My way or the highway” is a phrase that justifies the dogma of the ultra-rightists in society. Intolerance is the inevitable result. The bigots who prefer to castigate gays rather than accept them are fomenting violence (in the most extreme cases).
They are led by priests, pastors and Bible literalists. I call on them to relate in clear words the above passage from Genesis with their public religious utterances about gays.

Our town deserves to have an open discussion about anti-discrimination in our published laws. Prohibiting discrimination is a goal worthy of an adult community. Personal repugnance about sexual behavior is a matter of choice and genetics.
