Ann Restifo

Ann Restifo, 90, of Fountain Hills, lost her battle with cancer on July 6, 2018.

Annie Marion McLeod was born on Feb. 19, 1928 to Bessie and Yarbrough McLeod in Mobile, Ala. and grew up in Mississippi.

Ann is survived by her sister, Hazel Wandis Slattery; daughter, Debora Vigil; son-in-law, Jose Benito Vigil III; two grandchildren, Krystal Yvonne Vigil and Jose Benito Vigil IV; nieces, Sandie Jones, Renee Slattery, and Christina Chavez; as well as several grand-nieces and nephews; and her long-time companion, Lester Stong.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Joseph Francis Restifo.

Ann attended Bob Jones University for business. She was a certified practical nurse and also an Internationally Certified Nutritionist. She worked for Capitol Airlines in Chicago.

Ann married Joseph Francis Restifo in 1953, was co-owner of Suburban Pet Center in Berwyn, Ill. for many years. Debi was born in 1955. They all moved to Albuquerque, N.M. in 1975, and owned Radiant Health Food, a successful business chain. Ann and Joe moved to Fountain Hills where she worked for Walgreens for 26 years. Joe passed away in 1994.

A public viewing will be held at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary, 12065 N. Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ 85268, on Wednesday, July 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. A short gravesite service will be held at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ 85260 on Thursday, July 12 at 9 a.m.

A Memorial Service will be held at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Contributions can be made to the Phoenix Dawn Bible Students.
