Anne Lynne Babbidge was born in Buffalo, N.Y. Jan. 10, 1948 to parents Anne and Eben. Lynne attended Webster High School and Endicott College prior to moving to Michigan with her parents in the late ‘60s.
In Michigan, she met and married Dr. Stephen Sydney Hawkins and eventually had three children, Josh, Justin, and Whitney. Lynne was an incredible mother and her home and her heart were open to all.
She loved college football Saturdays, holidays with her family, her two golden retrievers Oliver and Bogie, days at the beach, a house full of friends and country music. She was an open book and what you saw was exactly what you got. She was a fun-loving woman who always welcomed all into both her home and her heart. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she put family first in all that she did.
From Michigan, she moved to Florida and eventually settled in beautiful Fountain Hills in 2004, where she lived until her passing. She was active in the community and loved visiting the dog park, playing cards with her friends and attending Jazz in the Hills.
Sadly, Lynne had battled congestive heart failure for years and eventually lost that battle on Dec. 1, 2013 at her home in Fountain Hills. She leaves behind her three children. Though “The Madre” is gone, she will live forever in the hearts of her friends and family. She will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Lynne’s life was held at her home on Friday, Dec. 6.
