Annie Kwartler passed away in her sleep on Friday April 29 at her home in Fountain Hills after a long illness. Anne grew up in Yonkers, N.Y., and moved to Fountain Hills 10 years ago after visiting the area and falling in love with the beauty and climate of the Southwest.
Anne was a creative and talented person who had a love for cooking, decorating, jewelry-making, and the many cats she adopted over her lifetime.
She is survived by her mother, Connie Kwartler, and brother, Jeff Kwartler, both of Fountain Hills; her sister Alison Bailey of San Diego; her cat Sunny; and her nieces, nephews, and other family members in Michigan, New York, and Oregon.
“What a brilliant girl she was. Finally that bright star is free.” DE
