Annie Lee Sells, also known by some as “Little Adam,” 75, of Fountain Hills and formerly of southeast Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Scottsdale Healthcare.
She was born Sept. 19, 1938 in Blythville, Ark. to James Oscar Pack and Tennessee Ross Pack.
She was formerly married to Connie Mac Sells of St. Louis, Mo.
She attended school at Mathews Elementary and earned a Ph.D. in “How to Live a Good Life!”
Mrs. Sells was recognized by Missouri State Senate for her contributions to the elderly. She served for two decades on the Missouri Healthcare Association Board of Directors.
She was a board member of Copper Dome Society of Southeast Missouri State University (SEMOST), and an anonymous benefactor of numerous community and individual causes.
She was co-founder of Sells Rest Home, established 1971, and co-founder of SEMO Management.
Mrs. Sells was the founder and owner of Sellzys Ladies Boutique in Fountain Hills.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, with her dog Valentino and watching people around the Fountain.
She is survived by a son, John Sells and his wife, Maria Sells, of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Bailey Renee Sells, Benjamin Pack Sells, Savannah Maryanna Sells; a son, Ronnie Lee Sells of Fountain Hills; and grandchildren, Chloe Grace Sells and Connor Bryce Sells.
She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Hart of St. Louis, Mo.; and Valentino Sells, her trusted companion for nine years in Fountain Hills.
Mrs. Sells was preceded in death by Eula Martindale, Alvin Pack, Bobbie Stokes, Thomas Mosely, Thomas Pack, Eula Clayton, Ressie McDaniel, Flossie Stump, Melva Dunlap.
A memorial will be held Thursday, May 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Fountain Hills at Sunridge Canyon Golf Club, 13100 N Sunridge Drive.
