All are invited to enjoy a weekend of authentic German culture, cuisine, and community spirit, according to a press release. Kicking off the festivities in true Bavarian fashion, Fountain Hills Mayor Gerry Friedel will perform the traditional keg tapping ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday, officially opening the festival with a toast to friendship and festivity. Just like in Munich, where Oktoberfest has been celebrated since 1810.

Hofbräu has been brewing beer since 1589 and has contributed to shaping the beer culture since then. Bone Haus, a more recent addition to beer brewing in Fountain Hills, was founded in 2015. The name and theme are inspired by ossuaries and catacombs, known as bone houses, visited in Europe. Both brewing practices are guided by the German Reinheitsgebot (Purity Law) of 1516.
Oktoberfest will feature contests and competitions – bier stein holding, alphorn blowing, and best dressed; Bavarian ambiance – blue and white table décor and singalongs under the stars; vendor market featuring unique goods and local products.
This community event brings neighbors together under the stars for an unforgettable night of laughter, tradition, and celebration, the release continued. Admission is $10, with no charge for kids 12 and under.
Wear a Dirndl or Lederhosen and receive a 16oz beer or a pretzel. Advance tickets may be purchased online. For more information and tickets visit Fountainhillssistercities.org/Oktoberfest. Oktoberfest is hosted by Fountain Hills Sister Cities, a nonprofit organization celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025. This is a popular community event with all proceeds benefiting cultural exchange and international friendship programs.
