Annual street maintenance to begin Saturday

The town's annual pavement management program will begin this weekend with work on Fayette Drive and El Pueblo Boulevard. Workers will be on site Saturday morning, Oct. 10, to lower utility access to allow for milling of the asphalt.

The town will be milling the old pavement and replacing the surface on Fayette, El Pueblo, Del Cambre, Grande, Pepperwood Circle and Glenbrook Boulevard over the next few weeks. The work is beginning on Fayette and El Pueblo near the McDowell Mountain Elementary School and the Charter School this coming week while students are off for fall break.

Workers will be in streets between 6 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The mill and overlay work is scheduled to be complete by the end of the month.
