The Town Council has voted again to extend for one year the sign ordinance regulations that apply to A-frame business signs and banners, but the council really, really wants business owners to start complying with the regulations.
The council voted unanimously Dec. 18, to allow the A-frames and banners through Dec. 31, 2015, and to that end the council is asking staff to come up with an outreach plan that will remind businesses wanting to use the signs to pay a $5 annual permit fee. Without the vote to extend the “sunset” date the signs would be banned at the end of this month.
