Anthony Saladino

Anthony (Tony) Saladino, age 73, retired from NYPD, fittingly passed away on Sept. 11, 2014 after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann; daughters Andrea Saladino of Petrolia, Pa., Lisa (Jon) Jost of Portland, Ore.; son Michael (Theresa) Saladino of Gilbert, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew and Bryan all of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brothers Michael (Susan) of Fountain Hills, Robert (Roseanne) of Bethpage, Long Island; aunt, Lillian Samo of Fountain Hills, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tony moved to Fountain Hills in 1980 from Hauppauge, Long Island and became active in the community. He coached Little League for a number of years. He joined Sunset Kiwanis and later Noon Kiwanis, published the AZ Sentinel and was a long-time member of the Chamber of Commerce.

Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 17, 6 to 8 p.m. “Celebration of Life” on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. at Messinger Mortuary, 12065 N. Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills.
